You can’t spell “EARTH” without “ART.”
Art is present in every aspect of life, and goes back to beyond even the first written records of depictions on cave walls – and the La Quinta Arts Festival is upon us. Artists tell stories that help us to make sense of this naturally chaotic world. They help us to broaden our paradigm and world perspective. The arts enable us to imagine the unimaginable, and to connect us to the past, the present, and even the future. In fact, sometimes we are connected to all three at once. Visual art – much like written, film, and musical art – transports us to different places and cultures. It allows us to see ourselves and our own community through a different perspective – it’s as though we are viewing the world through the artist’s own eyes.
The La Quinta Arts Foundation understands the important role art places within society and the world, and this Foundations hosts the #1 in the Nation La Quinta Arts Festival each year. During this annual festival, locals and visitors alike can enjoy a wide variety of events, activities, and programs. These attractions provide cultural enrichment and opportunities for the residents, visitors, and arts of the Coachella Valley region and beyond.
