July 4th in La Quinta is just a few weeks away and it is the perfect time to celebrate our wonderful country and everything it has to offer. There are a number of celebrations going on and you won’t want to miss the fireworks and fun happening. Many of the events happen on Monday, July the 3rd, so make sure you check the date before you go!
Palm Desert Civic Center Park
Get packed up with blankets or chairs and head here for the evening’s celebrations. Get there early for a prime spot and at 7:15, you’ll stand for the National Anthem. At 7:30 there will be concert until the sky lights up with fireworks at 9pm. The show is 25-minutes long and will be accompanied by beautiful music suited to celebrating our country. Bring the entire family and take advantage of the shuttle service from the Gardens on El Paseo for more convenient parking.
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino
On Monday, July 3rd, you can watch the fireworks show at the casino at 8:45 from the Eagle Falls Golf Course. There will be accompanying music and plenty of parking. Bring your blankets and chairs and the entire family is welcome for this free event. Afterwards, if you are an adults-only group, you can head into the casino for more fun.
Palm Springs Convention Center
Start with a pool party at 2pm and watch the fireworks from the comfort of the pool or a lounger. With games, music, a large inflatable slide and then fireworks, the entire family will have loads of fun. The cost is $2 for kids and $6 for adults for the pool party. Fireworks are free and start at 9:15. You can also catch the Palm Springs Power Baseball game at 6:05.
Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert
Check out this exciting children’s parade celebrating the 4th of July at The River at Rancho Mirage. Children are invited to bring their bikes, trikes and strollers and get them decorated up in patriotic style starting at 4:30. The parade begins at 5:30 and there will be a number of fun activities to enjoy afterwards. Head to one of the other spots on the list for fireworks after the parade!
Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa
While they won’t be having fireworks, their free concert will be a delight to those who would rather watch a concert. It is boy band night and kids all of all ages will love this patriotic celebration with songs from the 80s, 90s and today.
