Wilma and Frieda’s Cafe in Palm Desert
If you are looking for an excellent Coachella Valley restaurant with a cool vibe and scrumptious food, Wilma and Frieda’s Cafe in Palm Desert should be your next stop. For breakfast or brunch, the food is delicious and the service is top-notch.
Breakfast is served until 11:30 am every day and there are a number of choices: either the eeny, the meany, the miney or the mo. With eggs, toast, greens, bacon, sausage and even pancakes, the few selections on the menu mean that everything is done just right.
The weekday brunch is served from 11:30 until 2pm and also includes the eeny, meany, miney, mo, but a number of other delectable brunch items as well. You’ll want to devour items like the Marion blackberry vanilla custard French toast, which is a bread pudding-like French toast. The Kim’s banana caramel French toast is also seriously amazing. If the lunch part of brunch is more up your alley, the house specialities include the signature grilled meatloaf and eggs, Mark’s short rib eggs Benedict, Chef Chad’s biscuits and gravy and the Bernie’s chile verde with pork and brie omelet.
The weekend brunch has more of the same of the weekday brunch with a few other goodies thrown in.

• Great drinks
• So yummy
• One of Palm Desert’s breakfast gems
• Best breakfast
• Great selection
A newer restaurant, some reviewers say it was difficult to find, but they are located next to Sak’s. They’ve got a great outdoor patio as well, for those who like to take in the sunshine while enjoying their brunch. And because it is brunch, you also don’t want to miss out on their delicious Bloody Mary, but fresh coffee will also do.
Some reviewers claim there is a long wait, but that just shows that the food is good and that people want to eat here. Get there early so you can get yourself a prime spot. If you have to sit at the counter, make it part of your experience and start up a conversation with your neighbor.
Wilma and Frieda’s Cafe is definitely a great addition to the restaurant circuit in Palm Desert.
